Description
Used to demonstrate the differences in the coefficients of linear expansion of the two metals, the strip bends when heated over an open flame. Highlights the role of temperature and materials in practical applications. Consists of 2 laminated strips of different metals (copper and aluminum) joined together by rivets, and fitted in a blue plastic insulating handle.

    The bimetal strips didn’t bend or warp as much as I’d like. Perhaps a thinner gauge metal is in order.
