This 9-piece cylindrical mass set with hooks is designed for physics laboratories, STEM classrooms, and mechanics demonstrations. Each mass features an integrated hook for easy suspension on spring scales, force meters, pulleys, and other experimental apparatus.

The durable painted cast iron construction provides long-lasting performance in busy classroom environments while maintaining consistent mass values for accurate measurements.

The set includes a convenient plastic storage block that keeps each mass organized and easy to access during experiments.

Hooked masses are commonly used in physics experiments involving force, tension, torque, pulley systems, and Newton’s laws.

    Hooked masses

Posted by Ernest Sanchez on Dec 19th 2016

These are some of the best masses I have found yet. Reliable hooks, proper mass, and the paint seems thick to help passivate the metal avoid corrosion and giving a little softer surface. My other masses that I have had for years that are similar are balanced with small beads or shot, I have had troubles with student opening them and changing the mass. These cast iron masses do not have that problem.
