Description
Students can study electromagnetism with this electromagnet that can lift at least 1.65 lbs / 750g / 7.5N at 6 Volts / 1A input. This electromagnet consists of 2 copper wire bobbins, each placed around dual 0.25" / 7mm diameter soft iron cores. Pair this magnet with a set of spring scales to measure the relationship between input voltage and force. A great way to study remanence (magnetization left behind after a magnetic field has been removed). Comes complete with connecting wires and plastic storage case.

    Fun! But do you sell a version with the scale the directions suggest? Maybe I missed that. Electromagnets are fun to build piece by piece, so the measurement aspect was really what we were looking forward to.
