Selecting the Correct Size

Rubber stoppers are tapered, so the top diameter is larger than the bottom diameter. Measure the inside diameter of the container opening before selecting a size.

For a secure fit, the inside diameter of the container opening should generally fall between the listed top and bottom diameters of the stopper.

For example, a size #5 stopper has a bottom diameter of 23 mm and a top diameter of 27 mm. It is generally suitable for a container opening with an inside diameter between those measurements.
